Klubnika's games always make me glad I'm able to have the life I have, even if I hate it, 'cause things can be much worse than you could ever imagine. :)
Theres a lot of talk about the repetitive gameplay but I think it's a phenominally horrifying way to show the player how cruel, painful and slow the life of the main character is. Furthermore, something else I'd like to mention about this game: GOOD GRIEF!!!!
Background context, I own and drive a Volvo 240, the intro scene of this game, that is the kind of stuff I do in my free time.
I personally watched a play-through during my last class of school for the day, and I say this with full sincerity, after watching, I was kinda nervous to get back into my car.
I still think about that story, the body horror. It stuck with me more than any other horror game and it wasn't even a horror game.
I really like this game a lot but unfortunately it was unplayable on my laptop so I had to de-compile the game and start it on the menu scene instead of the pre-intro. I'm currently looking through the code to see what's causing the issue but it's genuinely worth the hassle. Such a well-made narrative experience with the clunky mechanics needed to hit the dreary tone just right
It definitely is, just goes to show how much this world fucking sucks to live in.
No 3D platformer jumping and running and all that shit in other games you get, just "go forward, go back" at an irritatingly slow pace - really puts you in the mind of the protagonist.
Fucked up how good his storytelling is, just through simple mechanics like that.

Brilliant game, the graphics, mechanics, and sound design work together to craft an excellent atmosphere.
There's probably an allegory here somewhere ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What a cruel world...
I love the premise, hate the controls. Although maybe that's the point.
