I loved this game it was a great experience. Had a good art style along with the battle ship style system was really cool. Can’t wait to play more games from you keep up the great work!!
I really loved the concept for this game, and how it added a fun (horrifying lmao) twist to a known game mechanic. Thank you so much for sharing your game!
I played this for my YouTube channel, so if you're interested in checking it out in another tab then follow this link!
This was jarring to play, I was really surprised how oppressive the atmosphere was overall (also props to Jabbu, what a gorgeous soundtrack), despite the amazing gameplay, there was a constant unnerving feeling there, a different king of horror for sure.
Very striking and beautiful. I played it on January 1st, with the current news in my mind, so this really had an emotional impact on me.

Now to my opinion on it. It's an amazing atmosphere and the setting is wonderfully bleak. I was immediately intrigued by the game and its premise. But that fascination did only last until I realized that the AI is hard scripted to always pull the same moves. This completely kills the tension as you realize that nothing is at stake. From that point on it's just a test of patience to replay the game until you've got all the positions figured out. Also, the sheet with the enemy buildings is incorrect, I don't know if that's on purpose.
tl;dr This game has an amazing premise and it would be a real blast if expanded upon. But in this state it's rather bland of an experience
I completely respect that. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement in terms of gameplay, sadly I was under a very tight deadline so I had to cut the AI down.
I am curious about when you realized the AI was hard scripted. Was it on the very first playthrough, or a second one?
My first suspicion arose on turn 3, when the AI hit all 5 shots for the second time. From that point on the AI always hits so after losing my first playthrough I was pretty sure that it is at least cheating. I had proof at the start of my second playthrough as I noticed that the AI shot the same 5 buildings on its first turn as it did before.
To be fair, I only played it through once because I couldn't stomach playing it more than that and treat it like a game that has to be beat since the whole atmosphere was so oppressive. I really get the criticism but from one gamer to another, I feel like "winning" or "beating the enemy" really is not the goal of this game.
its an extremely atmospheric and well made game but i really think it could be much darker if you include more phone calls to the residents, its the calls that really reminds you that you are killing living people
I'll look into it for future projects and maybe some previous ones, but sadly at the moment I don't have a Mac to test on. Regardless, thank you for the support!
This was so unique and such an amazing horror game also great style. Would have never thought battle ship could be turned into horror but you did it. Fantastic job!
This was very different to what games you do! But I liked it! I love your games, very different. It put me on edge. I loved the style of this game. Please keep up the good work! Here is my video on your game!
A bleak but incredibly morally ambiguous game that makes you think about the seemingly innocent child-hood game of Battleships. Mike Klubnika once again brings a startling and industrial mood to Concrete Tremor and immerses the player in a no-win and despondent world. Bravo!
Pros:
Incredible setting - conjures the player into a grey moralistic world
Soundtrack and Mortis style narration gives the sense that the player is in another world, but strangely familiar and bleak
Although linear in gameplay, the illusion of deciding the outcome rings heavy
Cons:
Would have liked the 'battleship' board to have both letters and numbers across it
At first wasn't sure whether the 'pegs' were buildings or already flattened buildings from another game.
Overall, another fine gem from Klubnika! Looking forward to the next one!
When I used to get sick during childhood, my older brother and I played battleship. It was always fun to sink ships and win over, trying to strategically place them so that my brother was not able to find any. This game reminded me of that time with my brother, so thank you for it Mike.
The game's visuals, atmosphere and the over arching story is brilliant, yet a bit dark. I have played your games in the past, but none of them feature this type of tone. I very much enjoyed it, although felt uncomfortable, especially towards the end. Nevertheless, the twisted horror aspect was there and I liked it.
As always, superb job mate. Can't wait to see more games from you in 2023. Cheers 🎇
this was fantastic as always mike! i consider you one of the higher tier devs on itch, mainly for your story telling and unique style, and as always this did not disappoint, my only request would be more endings, it would be intriguing to find out what would happen if we did win the game other than that gameplay above hope you guys enjoy
That means a lot, thank you so much! I think this concept has a lot of room for more stories to be told, but sadly I was working on a pretty tight deadline so I could only go so far. Thanks a lot for playing!
honestly i think a lot of your games could have sequels or full games, i hope one day you make a full game because your one of the top tiers out there man! looking forward to the next one man
This game was awesome. It was exciting the entire way through and kept me engaged with the way it told its' story. You're really good at this stuff, Mike. Great job as always!
wow that was some intense stuff. Loved it. On the one hand, I love the ending, on the other, I kinda wish there was another ending cuz I wanna play the game more haha
This was not bad. I assume you can never win though, no one can master the art of killing innocent civilians in apartment complexes. Overall, not bad. Made a video on it.
I couldn't figure out at first what was considered a hit and what's a miss (I figured it out at the end), and only seeing one of the two players number of buildings at a time confused me a little.
I agree, it's sort of trial and error trying to figure out how the device works at first. I was under a pretty tight deadline so simply didn't have enough time to get around to polishing it.

I took the time to win the game to see if there was another ending..."Winner."

Disturbing, yet a bit nostalgic for me.

Awesome game! I said in my game play Its like Battleship. I apologize if I'm wrong.
Yeah, it's more or less a reskin of Battleship with a different ruleset. Thanks for playing, I really appreciate it!
Cool looking game.
Just some feedback:
I couldn't figure out at first what was considered a hit and what's a miss (I figured it out at the end), and only seeing one of the two players number of buildings at a time confused me a little.
