If it was never stated that they'd get a steam key for being an early supporter, then y'all really need to let it go. But if they said they'd give steam keys for being one, but didn't, y'all have a right to be angry.
Devs require money to continue development, especially as their game continues gaining traction. Giving out steam keys would have been detrimental to the dev, as the game gained traction VERY quickly before its steam release. Blame the content creators, not the dev.
I've seen someone say it's worth more than itch io and steam price combined. True. I've purchased it 2 days after release for $1.20, buying the steam for $3 would be still worth it, BUT I payed for it barely after it came out and they move to steam and leave itch io supporters for good, like we were just getting the beta. We get updates now a lot later than steam, we won't have multiplayer in the future. Like wtf dude, I didn't pay for you to leave me hanging so you could bring updates to people that bought it later(and mostly for a bit more, but yeah), it's like steam version is a DLC for us in an INDIE GAME. Idk. Game is still as good as it gets, but man dropping a steam key wouldn't hurt your ego.
DO NOT BUY!! The game is on steam and the dev does not care about those who have originally supported his game and wants to milk his fans for all their money. shitty design and robs those who had originally supported.

i dont know for sure because i have a windows pc, but im sure new Macos versions with a specific M chip will work with steam still hun, you dont have to be upset about it

One of the best soundtracks for an indie game in recent years. I was vibing a lot just listening to those pumping techno tracks.
Game mechanics are easy to understand and very addictive. Visual style is amazing. It's grimy, rusty and overall sucks you in, it exists in the same universe as other Mike's games.
Legendary game at this point. Modern cult classic.
P.S. I purchased game on both platforms, to support the author. And got 100% achievements on steam. Can't wait to try multiplayer.
I 100% get the complaints about the steam key stuff, but in my unprofessional opinion this game is worth way more than 6$ (the price of the itch version and steam version combined). In a universe where there is no steam release and the itch version simply got everything the steam one would get, do you think people would be mad if the itch version was 6$? My point is that I think what people are mad about isn't that they have to pay an extra 3 dollars, in fact i think a lot of the people complaining realise its value to be much higher as well. its something about them having to make a second purchase that is leaving a bad taste in their mouths.
As for me, I have no idea where I stand on this because I agree with both sides.
It just feels....disrespectful to the original supporters. The original supports are likely why there was a big push to steam in the first place. Heck likely the reason the developer decided to put more content in the game. If the game got no support the developer would have likely just moved onto his next project/game. He got the financial backing from people buying a product on Itch.io because they wanted to support the game even though I bet it was very easy to pirate (I never checked but I can only imagine it was).
Like it just discourages people in the future to want to financially back products they like because the end result will be them getting left behind. I guess they get early access to the game? but now they have to make a second purchase just to get it on steam.In this case left behind refering to no multiplayer and updates coming later to itch game owners.
YES we can repurchase it. There might be a day I will re-purchase it. I'll still feel like its unjustfied however when I make that purchase.
