It's not about money, while ago i bought hero hour when it was in alpha way before steam released,and when the steam version came out ,the developer gave everyone steam keys, and did everything to compensate the community,as well as keeping the itch.io version up to date, this is just a good behavior from the developer, i think that people have right to express their displesure,because if something like this happened every time,it wouldn't be cool,still love the developer tho,hope that cleared out some things

its more the fact that the people who originally backed the dev are being thrown to the side, the multiplayer update wasn't known when it was only an itch.io game
Maybe think about the developers position for a second. Do you know how to code a multiplayer game? It is very hard. Steam takes a lot of the struggle and pressure of your shoulders with the Steam Multiplayer API.
This game can only be Multiplayer because of Steam! No one is tossed aside, you all can still play what you payed for.It's crazy to see how everyone keeps blaming the devs, while they are just trying to make everything work.
i know its difficult to develop a game but the fact that there's been no comments made at all here since and the fact that it was never said that there would be an exclusive multiplayer update still sucks, ill probably eventually buy it again and im not going to beg for a key because it was a cheap game to buy but its more the behaviour that i find a bit messed up

If I buy a phone, I can not complain and blame the company for releasing another phone 1 month later with a better camera. This is not how life works. You all paid for something, you all got something.
