The Steam version has integrated Steam support with the multiplayer, so even if multiplayer came to Itch, we'd be unable to play with other Steam players unless a server disjointed from Steam was added for both Itch and Steam players.
Of course, that won't happen because the dev has abandoned itch.io!
itch io doesnt have multiplayer bc ppl can distribute the exe without tinkering the files unlike where on the steam version its on steams version so piracy wont give you multiplayer
Incredibly depressing that all of the early bird supporters are getting screwed over of new massive features such as multiplayer because we chose to support game development early, before the game was released on Steam. I shouldn't have to buy a game a second time on the SAME platform to not miss out on major features, because of greed / inability to give out keys to people who purchased early.
I am very disappointed in how the game is being handled and I regret buying the game despite how fun and well designed it is, because I now have an outdated version simply because of the platform I purchased on.
I paid for the game when it became popular and I find it dishonest that they don't give me a key to play it on steam and take advantage of multiplayer.
It'd be unfair that (to get the full experience) we should have to pay for the steam release of a game we have already bought in full. We have been supporting since day one, please don't be ungrateful to us

Also the price we are talking about here is on the level of spare change. This game could have easily been priced at 6-10$ on Steam with the release of multiplayer.

I love how Mike just casually ghosted all us early birds, didn't even release a statement or anything that the itch version is discontinued.
