Excellent game! Such a great experience!!!

I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this game. Rarely horror games manage to be unique due to the abundance of cliches, but this one managed to surprise and keep me on the edge of the seat. The idea with the cabins alone was terrifiing. The glitchy ambient sound design was also top notch. Wish it was longer though. I wonder if you find a way to build on the idea. Great work!

Really appreciate that. Huge thanks for checking it out!

For $2 this game was an absolute roller coaster! Had no idea which direction it was going to go. I really hope this game does well, I'm glad i played it. Great puzzle and even better story. Extremely solid work! ๐Ÿ‘Œ

great game. as always, although its quite short. still has that atmosphere of the unknown.

Loved this game even though it's short. Very unique and creepy puzzle game.

I had no idea what to expect. I still don't entirely understand what happened but I think it's wroth discussing or at the very least open to interpretation. Cool set up, good concept!

Thanks for making games!

(+1)(-1)

Great game! Retro style has the best essence when it comes to horror.

Thanks! :)

(+2)

Wait..I remember this being free before. Why is it paid now?

(+4)

The price of the game hasn't been changed. Maybe it was another similar one.

(+2)

I think I'm the only one who found the room with a copy of System Upkeep? I typed the code by accident so I'm not sure where you should be able to find it.

(+2)

Yeah I think you're the first player who has found it themselves. It's a fun anniversary easter egg. Honestly that's super crazy, the odds of stumbling upon it like that are very small.

(+2)

That's pretty neat! I had a player do the same thing for one of my games, so it's more common than I thought.

(+1)

How do I activate this easter egg?

(+1)

Will be dropping some hints soon.

Hi, I recommend running the game outside of the itch.io app. The game currently supports only keyboard & mouse.

(-8)

Hi, thanks for the recommendation, I know I can just download it and do everything manually - but it's not the app's fault if it doesn't work with it.

It really takes little effort to fix that, this is the only game in my collection with this issue.
Don't bother fixing it, I'm asking for a refund. You probably care more about getting a few more views from very biased channels than actually doing things properly, the indie way.

Cheers.

(+3)

Sorry you feel that way. Honestly I didn't think it was that big of an issue, as I haven't received any other comments regarding the game not working with the itch.io app.

(+2)(-2)

I thought this game was excellent! I really enjoyed this one.
It did cause me to stop and think, as I did get confused at times. But I found the way it was, very clever! Thank you! Here is my video! Like, subscribe and make sure to comment!

Thanks for playing!

In regards of the Sceptre Foundation, isn't that symbol from the GDI faction from the Command and Conquer series?

(+1)

Yeah that was coincidental. It was changed in the latest update.

(+2)

WOW! The atmosphere of the game is great. It's hard for you to develop the game by yourself, isn't it? A very good game.

(+2)

It can be difficult at times, but I do enjoy it a lot. Really glad you liked the game. Thanks for playing!

(+2)(-2)

this is truly a masterpiece the reveal of the ending still cripples my brain when i think about it now, this was so well made and so well executed mike dude you are crazy talented and im so excited to continue playing your games, every single entry tops the next and considering how well done each of them are its truly amazing! gameplay is above i hope you guys enjoy!

Thank you so much! Greatly appreciate it :)

(+1)

Hi, I'm having an issue on the main menu.
I can move between the options using w and s to move up and down, but none of the buttons allow me to select an option. I tried e, f, g, enter, clicking, and a few other things but can't seem to get it going. Any ideas?
Really appreciate your work btw, can't wait to get this one going

(+1)

Nevermind, I realized it was space while playing Infineural, will update will my thoughts afterwards, thank you

Thank you for the comment. Glad you got it sorted, I'll add it to the controls section.

I had a great time with the game, swapping the tapes was pretty unique and added a real nice puzzle element to it. The whole vibe overall was real spooky and real intruiging! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what else you got cookin' up!

(+2)(-2)

Absolutely amazing work once again Mike! Your games improve with every release. You are very talented and this game deserve SO much recognition (im sure it will get it!)

Great job.

Thanks, Boochie! Really appreciate that!

(+2)(-2)

Good stuff, as usual, Mike.

(+1)

Thanks Neco!! Always a pleasure

(+2)(-2)

REALLY COOL GAME

Thanks! :)

(+1)

Very enjoyable as always Mike, a huge fan of your work. Your environments are so still with the occasional sign of life that makes you scared enough to know you aren't alone. Can't wait to see what is next :)

Thank you :)

(+1)(-2)

Incredible game. Really nice atmosphere and puzzles.

Thanks again, 5mg!

(+1)

Great Game! Love the atmosphere <3

Thanks for playing!

Hello. I wanna play this game, but my payment couldn't be processed due to my paypal account located in Russia, and therefore being under sanctions. Is there any other way I can pay you to play this game?

(+1)

Hi, can you reply with your e-mail? I'll send you a key.

Very fun game! Love the atmosphere and sound design, and the story's pretty interesting. (Also found the similarities between Sceptre and another fictional Foundation pretty amusing!) Love the detail that the alien text can be translated, too!

(+1)

Thank you! Really glad you liked it. :)

(+2)(-2)

This was fantastic. I loved everything about it. The uneasy creepy feeling you get the whole time was awesome. Great scares. It also does such a great job of keeping you hooked as you try to piece together the strange and bizarre story. Amazing job!

(+2)

Bizarre! Breathtaking and mind-bending game ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

First of, I have to thank you for giving me access to play this. This was otherworldly experience, truly epic horror.
The main reason for my fascination is the story. It is so simple, yet so immersive and tensed. Throughout the gameplay I wanted to go further and further, yet I held my back, because I was afraid something was going to happen. A huge gold medal for you, because the basement sequence and the security scared me straight, I cried like a little baby, it was that shocking to me.

The sound mixing and environment design - can't say enough. I loved how each and every place had its own uniqueness and even towards the end, I was felt full, not empty - full of questions about the cabins and every single mystery surrounding the lore.

I do consider this to be the highest quality and supreme - Your game is superlative to every other VHS based games and I do realize, some of the games are different and unique in their own way, but this definitely top game of 2022 for me.
I can't even fathom or describe the perfection of this game. The puzzles are so intuitive and sophisticated. They are very y relatable to the average player, which for me is a ++A. There are tons of games, on Itch.io and other free markets, which imp lament confusing and ridiculous puzzles and even some of them post answers on the game's page, but this, your game is a solitary exception.

I've played your games, I have seen your previous works and just to look back, you should be very proud of your work. I truly am happy and glad you set standards to your craft and you are following them immensely. Marvelous work Mike, superb ๐Ÿ’Œ

(+2)

Thank you for the kind words, Niven! I'm really glad you liked it. I put a lot of effort into making the solutions for the puzzles entirely possible without finding the hints, apart from the keycode, of course. So your thoughts on the puzzles is a huge compliment. Thanks again for playing, and for the kind comment. That made my day.

(+1)(-2)

Nice.  Love the concept and well executed.  On first look I thought it might be a bit difficult but it was quite intuitive and I managed to get my way through.  Really cool, thanks for making it.

You're welcome. Thanks a lot for playing!

(1 edit) (+2)

why Sceptre Foundation has GDI logo?

(1 edit) (+1)

This was coincidental. Thank you for pointing out, it has been changed in the latest update.

(+1)

I was expecting Kane to show up at some point

(+1)

tbh i was skeptical about previous games, but this one made me change my mind.

Thank you. Glad to hear that!

(+2)(-2)

No-commentary playthrough:

Awesome concept and stellar execution. Bravo.
(+1)

Thank you :)

My pleasure!

(+3)(-2)

Honestly, a really interesting idea using the found footage as an in-game mechanic, piecing together the tapes really felt like an interconnected event, and that ending was a great twist just like with your other games. Even knowing everything with the tapes only raises more questions and the mystery worked so well, the futuristic sci-fi horror really works well.

May have sequence broke a little, I found the key to the cellar without the help of the picture, I kind of leave no spot unturned in my horror games.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! Really appreciate the playthrough.

(+1)

good shit.

(+2)(-2)

Very cool. I liked the mechanic of having to watch a tape to get the clue for another one.

Thank you so much!

(+1)

This game is awesome! The graphics are stunning, especially for the smooth framerate. With few jumpscares it still had me sitting at the edge of my seat for the whole game. The story itself unfolds in a very nice way, slowly granting you more to learn about the game and more areas to wander in. The only thing I can really say that was negative, was the lack of guidance, which had me searching for more than 10 minutes for a single clue (but this could also be blamed on me not being a very good detective :))
